Strength & Conditioning

The Building your Future Basketball Program Performance  consists of the Strength & Conditioning, Sports Psychology, Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition departments. Its mission is to provide medical coverage optimizing health, safety and performance.
 
To ensure we have the best-trained athletes in basketball academies, by a staff that is leading the industry in cutting edge sport specific training. This vision incorporates individualized, spot by spot specific, cutting edge training, that is tailored to the specific demands of the basketball players, the individual athletes, and the philosophy of the sport coach.
 
Building your Future Basketball Program’s Strength & Conditioning staff is committed to enhancing the overall experience of its student-athletes. Program design is based on an athlete-centered, sport-appropriate model. Practical and purposeful training ensures each student-athlete will not only achieve long-term gains in athleticism for competitive success, but do so in an environment that cultivates enthusiasm, discipline, leadership, and teamwork.
 
The goals of the program are simple; to build strong, well-conditioned athletes who can perform to the best of their ability and to the expectations of the coach. Endurance and strength are keys to winning and go hand in hand with building a successful team. But, nothing could be more critical than staying healthy, one of the main goals of the strength and conditioning program. Lean muscle mass helps athletes avoid injury and heal more quickly if an injury does occur. When muscles are strong, they are prepared to support the whole body through rigorous and intense competition. That is why the training occurs long before the season begins.
 

Academic Services

ByourF provides customized services to student-athletes for them to achieve academic success. Academic Counselors and Learning Specialists guide a student-athlete in selecting the services that highlight their academic strengths and improve their academic weaknesses.

Sports Psychology

The Building your Future Basketball Program Performance  consists of the Strength & Conditioning, Sports Psychology, Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition departments. Its mission is to provide medical coverage optimizing health, safety and performance.
 
Clinical and sport psychology services assist student-athletes in addressing personal and performance concerns which might interfere with their ability to be their best in the classroom and on the playing field. Clinical and sport psychology services also provide team workshops and consultations to sport programs.

Sports Medicine

The Building your Future Basketball Program Performance  consists of the Strength & Conditioning, Sports Psychology, Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition departments. Its mission is to provide medical coverage optimizing health, safety and performance.
 
The mission of ByourF Medical Services is to provide excellent care to the student-athletes at the program. Athletic trainers and physicians work with coaches and the rest of the ByourF services as an integral part of a student-athlete’s total success.
 
The athletic trainers and physical therapists are involved in all aspects that affect student-athlete health, safety, and well-being. They are able to effectively accomplish this through their communication and cooperation with Sports medicine staff, team physicians, sport psychologists, coaches, sports performance staff, nutrition staff, and other medical personnel and consultants.
 

Sports Nutrition

The Building your Future Basketball Program Performance  consists of the Strength & Conditioning, Sports Psychology, Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition departments. Its mission is to provide medical coverage optimizing health, safety and performance.
 
The BYF Nutrition department has full-time sports dietitian. We are passionate about helping athletes develop healthy lifelong habits that promote muscle recovery, cognitive function, and academic and sport performance. We want the best nutrition guidelines to provide the best care. Our recommendations help student-athletes achieve adequate macro- and micro- nutrient intake, optimal hydration strategies, and safe supplementation. 
 
We are what we eat so our student-athletes don’t diet and exercise, they fuel and train. The non-diet approach promotes: Mindfulness, Self-esteen, Body acceptance & Intuitive eating. 
 
While we are anti-diet, we are still pro-health. We understand that «health» is different from person to person, and is multi-dimensional. We value food for nutritional, psychological, cultural and other reasons, and respect and support each person’s individual journey for health and happiness. It can be challenging to balance all facets of health and fuel for life in and outside of sport, so our registered sports dietitians are here to help.

Student-Athletes Services & Scholarships

Student-Athlete Development has been a model program since Coach Sergio start with the program. ByourF has used creative, innovative and effective programming to connect all areas of the student-athlete experience and develop student-athletes in all areas of their lives.
Athletics Academic Services (AAS) proudly serves all BYF student-athletes. Our mission is to provide effective life skills and academic support services for BYF student-athletes to encourage timely graduation and to ensure student-athletes receive the information they need to be in compliance with high school graduation and future steps in the goal about college scholarship.
