Boosters

The following information is provided by the coaching staff for representatives of athletic interests.

WHAT IS A BOOSTER?

ByourF defines a booster (also known as a representative of athletics interest) as an individual or agency that:

  1. Participates in promoting ByourF Basketball Program.
  2. Has made financial contributions to the Athletic Department.
  3. Provided a donation in order to obtain season tickets.
  4. Had assisted in providing information to coaches about recruits.
  5. Assisted or has been requested by ByourF staff to assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
  6. Arranged for or provided employment for enrolled student-athletes.
  7. Been involved otherwise in promoting ByourF Basketball Program.

ROLE OF BOOSTER

Boosters play a role in providing student-athletes with a positive experience through their
enthusiastic efforts. They can support teams and athletics departments through donations of time
and financial resources which help student-athletes succeed on and off the playing field. Boosters, referred to by the ByourF as “representatives of the program athletic interests”

DID YOU KNOW?

  • You may provide information about recruits to ByourF coaches by sending highlights, stats, newspaper clippings or calling a coach.
  • You may employ a student-athlete at your place of business as long as the student-athlete receives prior approval from the Department of Athletics, and receives the same rate of pay as your other employees.
  • You may invite a current student-athlete or team to your home for an occasional meal.
  • You may donate financial assistance or gifts-in-kind to our Scholarship Program or team’s individual booster groups.
